The Zombie Survival Guide is the first book written by American author Max Brooks, published in 2003. It is a satirical survival manual about zombies, containing information about zombie physiology and behavior, defense strategies and tactics, and includes case studies of possible zombie outbreaks throughout history. Despite its fictional subject matter, the book also includes practical information on disaster preparedness, generally.[2]
The book is divided into seven sections and an appendix. The first section contains information on the nature of "Solanum", a virus that causes zombification, as well as the physical attributes of zombies and a classification system for the severity of hypothetical zombie outbreaks. The next five sections cover practical survival skills and advice for coping with a zombie outbreak, including combat, defense preparations, methods of transportation and adapting to a world overrun with zombies. The final section lists recorded zombie attacks throughout history.

Brooks' second book, World War Z, is a follow-up to The Zombie Survival Guide. Brooks has stated that the zombies in World War Z obey the same laws described in The Zombie Survival Guide, and suggested that they may exist in the same fictional universe.[4]
Every Zombies game starts each player off with 500 points and a pistol. At the start of every game it is recommended that you knife the zombies. Zombies in the first round will die with a single melee attack. Ammo can be conserved, and you can get a large amount of points to start saving for barricades and more expensive weapons.
If a player is hit two to three times by a Zombie or any other creature, five from a zombie after drinking Jugger-Nog, they will be knocked down. When down the player will lose any perk they had purchased. The player will drop down to a sitting pose with a pistol or any other handgun currently in the player's loadout. Downed players can be revived by teammates within 30 seconds. If a player dies, he will be out of the game until the next round begins. When the player comes back to life, he or she will only be equiped with the starting loadout (pistol, grenades, knife), and lose all of their other weapons and perks. However, if the player is revived instead of dying, he will have the same weapons before he was downed, but all Perks will be lost. These coniditions can change depending on the Player's Gobblegum loadout.
Black Ops III's Zombies Mode now has its own leveling system. Unfortunately, the points you earn in a zombies game isn't the same as the experience points you need to level up and unlock GobbleGum and Weapon Kits. While it is true that you get some points from the zombies you kill, you also get points from the actions below.
As mentioned earlier, players can buy doors or clear debris using the points from killing zombies. Opening doors and clearing debris is necessary to reach other areas of the map where various weapons and perks are located.
Additionally there are barriers on maps that keep zombies on the outside of the map. The zombies will take down these barriers by ripping each board off before climbing through. Players are awarded 10 points for each plank (six planks per barrier) they rebuild. However, there is a limit to the number of points awarded to a player for rebuilding barriers within a single wave.
Survival is definitely tough if zombies are constantly interrupting you before you can buy Perk-A-Colas or upgrade a weapon at the Pack-A-Punch Machine. This is where "crawlers" come in. Crawlers is a term invented by the Call of Duty Zombies community and given to zombies whose legs have been blown off. Use an explosive weapon or piece of equipment to blow off the legs of a zombie, creating a crawler. Most crawlers move much slower than regular zombies. With one or two slow crawlers left on the map, players will have enough time to spend their points on the necessities. Make note: Sometimes a crawler might die completely on its own. If this happens, a new zombie might spawn somewhere on the map. Other times the round ends right there.
A common tactic in Zombies games is to have a group of zombies following one player. The player will run around an area on the map to compact them together or form a sort of train. When ready to continue, the player can turn around and shoot all of them in their heads. The head is the most vulnerable spot, and firing in a crowd will harm more with less ammo.
Not sure how to proceed? Just pick him up and put him down at the crafting station you want him to work on. Click craft, and he will get busy. Depending on his work ethics though. When you proceed on the path past the stone blockage you will find the Felling Site. A big tree that your Zombie can hack away on to your hearts content. You will never be short on wood again. First though, you have to unlock the required workshop that needs building in front of the tree in your Technology Tree by unlocking the Zombie Wood building blueprint. After that, the workshop needs 12x finch, 4x Nails, 1xAxe1 to be built. The workshop has room for two zombies.
As the name suggests, this boost gives a downed player the ability to quickly revive themselves should they succumb to a horde of unruly zombies. If this strikes your fancy, track Quick Revive down in the alley in which you spawn at the beginning of the game.

Shotgun: Like the shield, this can be equipped to a professor. But instead of just shielding them from zombies, it destroys the zombie and then dissolves after one use. It can be combined in the Combinator to last up to three uses.
